As far as I can tell, living one life involves dying back and resurfacing many times.

Body-based practices are my support to encounter life on its own terms. Voluntary breathing, movement to music, stretching and shaping my core and limbs with care, and walking, swimming, running and sitting outdoors  offer anchoring and permission to be with things as they are. They help me to feel and take responsibility for my own body, emotions, mental energy, and mysteries. They help me become more aware of what's happening in the moment, and more likely to become responsive rather than defensive, reactive, or shut down. They help me slow down, pay attention, and adjust my relating to the world. They're accessible tools we can put in our own hands in service of self knowledge, well being, and helpful engagement. That's what I seek to share.

You don't need to feel strong or energetic to join my movement spaces.  You don't need to be able to stand up to move, stretch and decompress. I hold practices with justice and equity intent.  People of all cultures, colours, creeds, all genders and sexualities, all sizes, all abilities and life stages, and any health status are lovingly welcome. No one turned away for lack of funds: contact me here for information. If you're breathing, you've got all you need. *On children: unless noted otherwise, practice spaces include anyone over 14.

It's my honour to offer embodiment space to others. My purpose is to support and witness others’ movement adventures and spirit revolutions in my home community and on the road. I invite you to join me.
soundscapes for movement

I'm an uninvited inhabitant of stolen, occupied Quw'utsun' territory. The  Hul'q'uminum'-speaking nations who have governed and cared for this land since time uncounted range from Snaw-Naw-As First Nation (Nanoose Bay) and Snuneymuxw First Nation (Nanaimo) to  Malahat First Nation. Five nations (Cowichan Tribes, Halalt First Nation, Ts'uubaa-asatx First Nation, Lyackson First Nation, and Penelakut Tribe)  form the Hul'q'umi'num' Treaty Group, in protracted talks with non-Indigenous governments to repatriate and protect some of the lands forcefully taken by my society. I witness the inalienable rights of Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Inuit, Métis). I advocate return of territory, governance, and compensation to Indigenous Nations, and reparations for the genocidal assaults of the colonial occupation of Canada. My classes and workshop spaces include the intent to take real steps in community toward both decolonization and dismantling of white racisms.
